Just like the title says, what (legal/non-NFA item) gun product/accessory/accoutrement would you like to see introduced into the marketplace?

Personally I would like to see a good strong (probably steel) multi-station (non-progressive) reloading press, a guide-rod laser for the USP-45FS, 20rnd. magazines for the Vz.58 (as well as other various magazine products), good scope caps that flip back all the way (relatively flush with the scope), and inexpensive 34/35mm scope rings (for angle cosine indicators, et al), amongst other things.

What are the items that you would buy if only they were made available?

:)

i would like to see a stock manufacturer......that mails you a large semi-rifle shaped piece of foam/ clay...

.....you shoulder the foam/ clay stock as you would a normal rifle.....adjust it until it fits perfectly and comfortably.....

you then package up the foam/ clay stock and mail it back......and they will make you a stock to those specifications.

M-Cameron, that is a pretty cool idea. One couldn't complain about the stock fit could they? Might that work in reverse (you buy the clay/foam, shape it appropriately, send it to the manufacturer, and then they replicate it in the material of your choice)?

:)

3-D scanner and 3-D printer technology could allow that custom formed stock Idea to work.

it could go something like this.
-you get a basic skeleton of a stock, with the clay/foam side panels (or top/bottom panels).
-form the panels how you like
-Send them back,
-The stock maker scans each panel, and prints them out of some sort of plastic (ABS or polycarbonate most likely).
-The panels are sent back to you and you screw or glue them on the stock skeleton.

The only real issue is that 3-D printed stuff is not the greatest finish quality, it's usually somewhat rough. but it can be painted and finished.

you mean like this?
I mean exactly that (which is the product that spawned the idea)...but I shouldn't be restricted to only Loopys. My PRH in particular, could use a good front scope cap (the rear one is proprietary and pretty darn nifty).

:)

We're getting close on my dream ...

A true multi caliber rifle or pistol platform that's three things:
Reliable.
Affordable.
Identical to one of the classical designs of the world, be it a TT, AK, 1911, whatever.

A decent .308 AR complete lower that costs around $300. I just see no reason for them to cost $200 more than standard AR lowers.

Utilitarian 45-70 double rifle that can handle lever & ruger loads, for under $1k. No frills, no BS; basically, the handi rifle of double guns.

I thought up what might be a neat idea.... how about a crescent-shaped device that attaches to a rifle barrel with a gentle amount of tension. At the top of it is a really small liquid level that triggers an audible sound if the barrel moves too much.
Basically, it would be a device for "dime/washer drills" that doesn't require the presence of a second person to place the dime/washer on the gun.

Either that, or someone could create the "invisible range buddy" - an at-will summonable servant that disappears until they're needed for stuff like that... :)

A holster of some form which allows you to rack the slide when drawing your sidearm. Possibly by using a downward pushing motion. I believe the Spetsnaz has something along those line.

Pretty cool ideas guys, though my intent was to keep this non-firearms (accessories only).

:)

I want a bracket that holds a home defense pistol in an easy to reach position near the bedside while recharging the attached light or laser.

Or how about a magazine loader that really works.

I would use it with the 9mm or .40 cal carbine with the looks and ergonomics of an M1 Carbine I've always wanted.

Guess I'm going to be more practical and just want something REINTRODUCED:

9x19mm barrels for the CZ-52. They made them as aftermarkets a few years ago, but now they seem to be rarer than hens teeth. I keep an active Gunbroker search on them and I see one MAYBE 3-4 times per year - often for far too high of prices.

Other than that - a good Kydex retention holster for the Walther P-38/P-1.

I'd like to see somebody go into production making exact copies of Tyler T-grips, since Tyler seems to have gone belly up.
