Last year we raffled a Beretta Extrema
T/C Encore in any Stnd Cal.
CZ 453
CZ 452

As you can see we stayed away from the standard 870,1187,500,590. 10/22 Remington 700,710

Any suggestions for me for this year?
Quality is our biggest concern we would rather have 4 quality guns then 5 or 6 lessor quality guns.

Any suggestions. ?

Pink Cricket - these are wanted by a lot of young ladies! :)

Beretta Storm - 9mm, great gun with affordable ammo.
Even older adults ( I mean 80 y/o are using for home gun) :)

What about MEC 9000 reloader for shot-gunners and a Metallic Reloading set up by Dillon, RCBS or whomever?

I'd agree with the Pink Crickett, but I'd stipulate the pink laminated wood version. They look classier, IMO.

How about the Kimber .22 that the CMP is selling? You can't get much better quality...I'd buy several tickets.

A Biathlon Basic is a great quality .22, if you can find one.

Quality over quantity

Les Baer LIMITED EDITION LES BAER PRESENTATION GRADE 1911
Ed Brown The Kobra Carry All stainless
Kimber Gold Combat RL II, Gold Combat Satinless II or Grand Raptor II
Remington 700 Any Model in Any caliber 30-06 my pick always a good hunting
Springfield M1A Super Match M1A or 1911 Professional or Operator
Perazzi MX2000/RS Trap Combo Over & Under 12 gage

I'll buy a ticket or a hundred to get in on this raffel

How about a Springfield XD45? Those seem to be a great gun without breaking the bank. I'm planning on getting one when funds permit.

What type of audience do you anticipate marketing this raffle towards. Young men, women, etc. If you have a specific demographic in mind target
your prizes towards that group. You can't go wrong with a "Name Brand"
like Beretta, Glock, Springfield. These names are known to people less familiar with firearms and they may be more inclined to buy a ticket when the prize is a product they have heard of rather than some obscure item.

Visit local ranges and see what is preferred and popular by most shooters. You will have a better chance of selling tickets if the prize is what most people want.

Figure you can't go too far astray with a 10/22. It's got everything - cheap ammo, good starter gun, looks PC, and can be made very un-PC in a heartbeat with aftermarket parts...

There is a Firehouse that has a dinner/raffle twice a year, that my wife and I support.
Their raffles are incredible. They have a 'relationship' with a local gun shop, that handles all of the paperwork, acquisitions, etc.

They raffle off several firearms/archery sets.
Only 250 tickets are sold. $30 per ticket and that includes dinner for 2.
Dinners include ham and/or roast beef & all the trimmings. Beer, soft drinks and iced tea.
Here is what was offered at the last dinner/raffle:

250.-Browing A Bolt .308
249.-Ruger 260 walnut
225.-Thompson Center Black Diamond .50 cal.
200.-Mossberg Combo 12 ga. "Crown Grade" Trophy Slugster
175.-Ruger 77 SS 7mm Mag
150.-Bow Tech Tomkat Package
125.-Charles Daly Advantage Camo 20 ga.
100.-Henry 22 Golden Boy
75.-Mossberg 835 Camo Turkey
50.-TC Omega .45 cal
25.-Ruger 10/22
1.- Remington 870 20 ga. Slug Gun

"LOSER" drawing (Named ticket holder MUST be present to win prize)
Weatherby VanGuard 300 (This is the last ticket drawn for the evening!)

The first ticket drawn is 'position' #250 and then #249, etc., etc., etc. A 'winner' is drawn every 25 tickets pulled. As you can see from the list, the first and second drawn tickets are 'winners'.
These fine folks also have 'door prizes' randomly positioned on their 'board'.

These raffles/dinners are ALWAYS sold out. (ALL firearms rules/regulations apply!!!)

Thanks for reading.

Thanks for the idea's. Were shying way from pistols in this raffle but are going to do a pistol board at our banquet.

Here what we decided.

1. Kimber 8400 in .308
2 Browning BAR in 270WSM
3 Remington Wingmaster 16 ga I belive its a wingmaster
4 Savage 93R17 in 17 HMR
5 T/C Omega Z 5

Just thought i'd let everyone know what we decided

If you'd like to do something different, but still in line with the other prizes price-wise...

How about a set of Mosins?

Personally, I'd be overjoyed to win a nice M38-M44-M91/30 combo. Clean 'em up nice, deck 'em out with the slings and accessories and present to the winner at the appropriate time. :)

Not that many "traditional" shooters are familiar with milsurps, and that'd be a good way to get at least one person interested!

Heck, if everything else is in the ~$400 range you could even throw in a crate of ammo so they don't have to go hunting all over the internet for it or buy $15/20 softpoints locally for plinking.

Contact the manufacturers and ask if they are producing any collectors pieces for orginizations. We (4H-rifle club)used to get low numbered 1100 DU shotguns and some others from Rem. We limited ourselved to 2500 tickets and never had one left over.
