What have you done in the reloading room today

Loaded 1 ladder of 308 Winchester 178gr Hornady BTHP over Varget in Lapua brass.
6BR Norma with 2 different loads of Varget over 75gr V-MAX 1-10" twist.
21 rounds of 460 S&W with some pulled Sierra 300gr JSP over 30.9gr of Vihtavuori N110.
6br loadings in the lower weights aren't exactly abounding.... heck loadings are hard to find. I'm totally intrest in results...

I’ve got all the dies in the new ap press before the DR appt.( It was full of words like “severe tendonosis” and “partially torn” and “likely ruptured outside the scope of”…)So I’m working on dialing in seat/crimp and powder drop. I think I’m gonna stick with familiar territory, and run 5.3 gr of autocomp behind a 115 xtp(my free ones from a year ago: 500 more incoming)
I’m running size-expand/prime-powder drop-cop-seat… 5 stations… a ptx is likely in the works soon. And maybe crimp in a separate step.View attachment 1202159Edit to add picture. Oops
Maybe someday I’ll get me one of those. Sure is pretty 😀

Whipped up 200 rounds of .45 acp. Being a traditional old guy I used 5.0 gr of Bullseye and 230 gr round nose FMJ on my old LCT 4 hole press. Interestingly, my factory loaded Winchester White box (needed factory ammo for a recent CCL renewal class) had OACL variants from 1.275 to 1.260. Very Willy nilly. Every single one of my reloads is exacy1.265.

When I talk to a new reloader, and they get in the weeds about OAL, I tell them to grab a box of factory loads and measure them.

They usually quit worrying about .001 or 2 after that, especially with handgun loads.

The spaghetti jar has that same kind of handles, which is why I chose it. I ran a bolt through the cap, lay the jar on its side on a set of rollers and chuck the bolt in my cordless drill to rotate the jar. I don't think the Folger's can would seal well enough to do the same, but thanks for the idea.
You're right I didn't think about that !

Well, now that I have my 7x57 Mauser back home, I realize I cannot find any of my old handloading notes for it. Dang! Leaning towards 154gr RN and IMR4064. Going with the RN as I no longer hunt, so, it will be a range/desert rifle.
Any of you fine handloaders have a good mid-range load, I'd like to hear about 'em. This is a 1895 Chileno Mauser, small ring, so nothing upper level. Thanks guys.

Seems my buddy ran 39-40 grs with his…

After a uuum night’s sleep (not really good), and the first cup of coffee, I went down, took one look at the powder drop, and said a very loud “DUH”, and had it rockin in about 30 seconds! Set the powder cop up…100 rounds looks a LOT shorter timeframe. IMG_4039.jpeg edit: per request: I hadn’t set the drop down to the right depth… like as not turning it into the bushing!! the most basic thing. DUH!!!

Nothing much! Been in a slump lately!

Last week I ordered some utensil hangers off of Amazon and they arrived today. So I mounted them on the end of the shelves. I keep several combination wrenches in my loading room that fit the various sizes of nuts on my reloading dies. They are stainless for outside BBQ use and they look good. I even had some stainless 1/4in bolts!

I understand this doesn't work.......... 🤪
So I popped it out slowly and the anvil fell out on the floor as I caught the primer.:(

Went to the garage and retrieved another "range find" primer from loads I find at the range and disassemble not trusting anyone, but will use components only!
I did not want to take one primer out of a tray of 100.

I know, kinda anal...................;)
