What is everyone's favorite brand of revolvers ?

Desert Dog,

My Blackhawk has the sweetest trigger I have EVER pulled on a handgun...

Heck, even Tauruses and Colts have good SA triggers. Real revolvers have nice DA pulls... ;)

Ruger - GP's, Vaqueros, and Blackhawks.....
but I absolutely will not knock S&W - I still have one of 'em.

Gotta agree with Tamara... DA trigger matters. :D

The absolute, no question, nicest DA trigger of any sort I've *ever* used was on a old, box-stock Python. Slick. Like olive oil on Teflon-coated black ice slick. On the other hand, sub-par Python triggers are just plain strange. Not outright crap like a Ruger Redhawk, but just WRONG in some different way.

S&W seems the most consistently good of the bunch.

Ruger (w/ a little smoothing of the action). Although I mostly smooth the action by shooting the pi$$ out of "em. :D

i do admire the Smiths, my 657 being my all time favorite.

when i want to raise dust and cause leaves to fall, i use my Rugers.

that said, i appreciate any well made firearm in any caliber. it does not need to be pretty. functional and accurate. simple criteria.

just like em. am i sick. do i need treatment. could be.

I know I am in the minority but I really like Ruger revolvers for full size. S&W J-frames rule however.

Dan Wessons and older Smith & Wessons.

Also a Colt SAA slicked up by Bob Munden was very impressive. You can't imagine how smooth that action and trigger are...

Any revolver that shoots reliably, make doesn't matter!!!

I know, my signature line might lead you to believe that I'm a brand snob. Though I admit a preference for Smiths old and new (gotta love that entirely predictable 2-stage DA pull), I've got nothing against the other makes and would like to add others in the future, like a 2.75" Ruger Security Six, a Cimarron Model P or Uberti 1873 Cattleman in 45 Colt, and maybe a Colt Det Special one day. I used to own a Heritage Rough Rider and a Taurus M66 that were both excellent guns, but did not fit my needs so they were sold. I do miss the Heritage, selling it was stoopid.

I should probably add a 1911 of some kind while I'm at it :D .
