Ruger Mark III Hunter
Millett SP-1 Red Dot
A buddy of mine has a buckmark target pistol with a 7.25in. bbl and I found it unweildy with a scope added (was a 4x EER IIRC). I did just as well, perhaps a little better, with the adjustable sights, then again I'm not an outstanding shot with a pistol either. How does she shoot? I haven't thought about putting a scope on my buckmark, but that could be interesting for plinking outside of 50 yards.
Just finished the conversion. I'm not sure which forend I'm going with yet. Now I just need mags, optic, and sling.
I agree, the stock Saiga carbine forearm is a good one (the scattergun version, not so much)...just as good as most aftermarket options IMO. If you must change it, the Tapco Intrafuse is a decent one, and isn't overly costly.Monkey King, may I suggest you keep that front end?
Krylon makes a special paint for plastics called Fusion. It works well enough for everyday items, but I don't know how well it would hold up on rifle furniture. For a more durable, color-fast finish RIT dye (clothing dye) should work reasonably well, but requires a great deal more work than a rattle-can (still not horribly difficult).Yeah I think I will keep the forend stock at least for now. I would like to paint it to match the rest of the furniture. Any suggestions? I've never painted plastic before.
