S&W 642. I also have a Taurus 85. The 642 is easier and lighter to carry and only a little more difficult to shoot accurately. The DA trigger pull is actually smoother on the 642. I can keep all the shots within 5-6" or so at 7 yds. which is more than enough.
Lots of SP101 love going on here. My 2 1/4 inch, DAO SP101 is one of my absolute favorites. Not too big for comfortable concealed carry, but enough weight to fire .357's quickly and acurately. I'm wearing it right now in fact.
I have to toss my vote toward the S&W 36 or Lady Smith but with one important upgrade-BoB the hammers.
I have 5 of these and all have the hammer work done and never yet have I had a light hit or misfire.
As for accuracy, they are on the money right out to fighting distance

Mine is my Taurus M85 Ultra-Lite.
I have an M605, but the 85 gets carried more.
It only weighs one ounce over a pound as opposed to more than twice that for the magnum snub.
My 2 personal favorite are my S&W 638 and my S&W Model 19 2.5".
The 638 is a great "toss it in your pocket and go" gun. The Model 19, fitted with Pachmayr grips is one of the few snubbies that isn't uncomfortable to fire full bore .357 Magnum out of.
If the first rule of a gun fight is to have a gun, then this is what I'll probably have when the refuse of ones most inner being hits the rapid rotating blades of an air moving apparatus.
I chose this gun because I can fit my entire hand around the grips, has one mode of operation, and it handles self-defense loads with ease.
In my pocket, it feels like an unbearably heavy hunk of gun, so I wear it in a fanny pack. Sissy or not, I always wear a fanny pack in non-work hours anyway, because I work out and wear sweat pants without pockets.
So I'm a sissy.......who is in fighting shape and packs a .357 magnum.
I do love my Smith 36/60....with a blued frame and stainless barrel and cylinder, Tyler t-grip, and quickclip for pocket carry. I'd love to find real stag grips for it, but all my money seems to be going into my gastank lately.
Shown with my laptop and logos from the McC-F insurrection, no moonbats, and no more money for conservative (in name only) causes.
