I have a Bushmaster heavy barrel carbine model number BCWA3F16 and an Aimpoint Comp M3. I would like to mount the Aimpoint on the upper receiver to absolute cowitness with the front sight post. I was considering using the A.R.M.S.® #22M68™ Throw Lever Ring to mount the Aimpoint. But I believe a spacer is needed to raise the Aimpoint up to the front sight post and was looking at the A.R.M.S.® #38™ STD SWAN® Sleeve which would raise the Aimpoint 1/2 inch. I'm particularly concerned with the height. Does anyone know if these ARMS products will go together to get me that absolute co-witness?

your best bet would be to call ARMS.

Have you looked at Larue? Larue has a much better reputation.

another vote for Larue...Call em...they have a "if you aint happy, we aint happy" approach and will bend over backwards twice for you....even if just buying something small.

I'd strongly consider looking into whether or not LaRue makes something that will fit the bill.

Their products are better quality than ARMS, and LaRue actually supports the gun culture rather than running around filing frivolous lawsuits and trolling internet forums when they get called on their unethical behavior.

I've got one of the LaRue high-rise quick detach mounts for an Aimpoint Micro on one of my ARs, and it co-witnesses with the iron sights perfectly.

I'm been looking at the LaRue website pretty hard. I'm liking the LT-152.

I think I'm going with LaRue. I'm waiting on a reply from their sales department to see if the LT-152 will give me the correct height for absolute co-witness.

You should also, at the least, check out Bobro and American Defense. Among the three, it's really a matter of preference. Each has its strengths.

If your rifle has the fixed FSB, don't forget that Bushmaster uses the shorter A2 height FSB not the standard F-marked height for flat tops. So to zero with a milspec rear flip sight you may have to unscrew the front post enough to make it loose. Sometimes it happens, other times there is enough adjustment. Bushmaster does sell a taller front sight post (about $6) to correct this if it happens to you. Of course this should be corrected before cowitnessing with your Aimpoint.

1713, LaRue doesn't make an absolute cowitness mount for the M3. I prefer absolute too and use the ADM AD-68 mount on my M3-sized RDS.

How would I know which AD-68 to get as they come in different heights?
