30-06, 7 mauser (M77), 357 max. (contender rifle) Hope to try some 45 colt this year, more likely on pigs.

.30-30 Marlin 30AS w/ Fusion 150 gr.

or

.300 Win Mag Weatherby Vanguard with 150 gr. Barnes TSX bullets over 75 gr. of IMR4350 SSSSSSsssssmokin'!!!!

.30-06 with 125-grain Remington Managed Recoil ammunition. As far as I'm concerned, it's perfect for the smaller deer we have here in Texas, for shots around 100 yards.

I guess I am the first...

This year I am going to use my Marlin 1894 ss 16 1/2" 357 mag. Range will certainly be under 75 yds and I am still waiting foradcope for the rifleI'd first wanted to use.

the venerable "thutty-thutty"

though this year I am also taken out the Blackhawk with a beefed up .45 Colt round to try my luck at the handgun game.

I only just started hunting, so so far it's 30-06 with a 150gr Nosler Partition with 57 grains of IMR 4350.

Next year I'm going with Triple Shocks, maybe a heavier bullet, not because I've seen any effectiveness (haven't shot a deer yet) but I like to play with the loads. :)

I use .308, .35 rem, .44 mag. In the past I've used 12 gauge slugs, 30-30, 30/06, .357 mag and a .270. They all did the job, some are better at certain applications than others.

I've also used buckshot, hopefully for the last time.

At close range (out to 100 yds) I use my Marlin 1894 44 mag with 300 gr. hot loads. If I plan on taking shots over 100 yds, I use my Remington 788 308 with 168 gr. HP Federal Match ammo. With both I carry a S&W 629 44 mag as a jump and run preventer.
