What round is this ????

I found quite a few pieces of this brass at the range . The neck size reads .308 and the over all length of the case is 2.191 . Around the headstamp it reads like a clock at 12:00-11, 3:00-A, 6:00-62 ,and at 9:00-D . This round is bigger than a 7.62 nato . I think it might be 30-06 , but , I am not sure .

.30-06 case length is 2.494. .30-30 is 2.039. .308 is 2.015. Not sure what fits between .308 and .30-06. 7.62x54r is 2.115 which is close. Are the cases rimmed or not?

7.5x55 Swiss GP11. They are larger in diameter and a little longer than a .308 Win.

That particular cartridge was made in November 1962, manufactured at Dornach, assembled at Altdorf (from SwissRifles.com).

That brass is berdan, but some people reload them anyhow so don't toss them if you have a bunch.

I have about 30 cases that look brand new . I was going to trade them on the trading post for something I could use .
