what the heck Powder Valley?

It is very very common for those foam "seals" on the top of the can to come off with the lid... As for bullets spilling everywhere? Ive bought berrys from them and they are nicely packed and bagged in a cardboard box by berrys. Powder valley put the stuff in the box, who brought them to your door? Im not defending powder valley, but every order ive received from them has been very well and tightly packed. Ive never gotten a package from any online vendor as well packed as PV does it...

The seal *under* the lid on the powder? That usually comes loose when you open a new canister or plastic jug of powder.

sound's like a shipping issue, never had a problem from them but orderd a few time's only.

I would give them a call, but everything I've gotten from them has been packed so tightly, that you couldn't fit another strip of paper in the box. And the strips of paper in the box when opened were hard packed against the items I did order that they came out with square corners and all.

Berry's first boses their bullets in 1000 boxes then puts them into another box that holds the two 1000 boxes, then places them inside USPS flatrate box and wraps with tape. I have recieved some in USPS totes, because workers have broken past all three and bullets were spilling out.

There are some people that could ruin an anvil with a rubber mallet and there is no seal strong enough to stop them.

Not only would I call them, I would have contacted them before passing judgment on an open forum. Bitching first and contacting later is something I have learned to avoid.

Some of the mechanized equipment used to sort and move boxes through facilities aren't exactly easy on packages. It's not always, but sometimes is, the fault of the workers. I worked at UPS for a few years and know all about it. They should have repackaged your bullets though.

When i make large orders I usually use Powder Valley and in all the years I've used them i only had one box that was a mess. It was the shippers fault and not PV who destroyed the box but everything inside was intact. I called PV to let them know what the shipper did and they offered to send me anything that was damaged right a way and they told me to keep the produce that was broken, no return for proof necessary. Since nothing was actually damages, just a mess I declined any free stuff.

What I'm getting at is, for me and everyone I know PV has been one of the best online vendors and they have not taken advantage of us during the "shortage" either. I think they deserve better than to be badmouthed before they are give a chance to make things right. (if anything is actually broken other than the boxes)

LOL mark down another win for the shipping gorillas at some distant distribution warehouse.:D +100 on the breaking an anvil with a rubber hammer. I once met a guy that fit the "shipping gorilla" description, and that was his job in a shipping hub for a national delivery service. He actually broke the handles off a sink faucet in a bathroom in a rental condo 3 times within a week.:banghead:

PV has in the past and always will have my business. To me they are close behind Missouri Bullet in customer service.

I have my very first order coming from Powder Valley...they called me Wednesday 10/16 about a credit card number which we fixed on the phone so she could ship the order "late this (last) week"...so, I'm looking for it early this week like maybe Tues/Weds 10/22. I'll check mine when I get it but they seem to be about the best of the best in customer service.

What nice and friendly folks!! :)

I did not get a tracking number or notification of shipping....do they normally do that or not? I'm not used to not knowing if the order is "in the mail" especially since it's coming to an address that is *not* my home as I live in Illinois and the Bullet Nazis are very much in charge here. :fire:

VooDoo

I find PV to be top notch in orders and packing + shipping always great service but some times rare things happen that's why there called accidents

I'll take your bullets and put them in one of my boxes...

Dont mean to offend, but really, get over it, some stuff got jostled around in the box after traveling cross country.

If I had a choice, I would have bullets shipped in a separate order from powder. Unless the packaging is fabulous and the carrier handling gentle, the bullets are going to act like a hammer on all the other content items.

Drop heights of up to 36 inches during carrier handling is a fairly common occurrence, that's a tough challenge when dealing with mixed contents.

I'd mark off the bullets off to a dorp or two. All 99 bullets where in the box then the one someone found later under the table. The powder is what gets me though, It has a seal- thats broken. I don't see how the seal gets broken duirng shipping.

I would have contacted them before passing judgment on an open forum. Bitching first and contacting later is something I have learned to avoid.
Sorry, I did't intend to offend you(or yall). I wanted to know if this had happened to anyone else. Btw I'll not BI##H any more.

Powder Valley usually processes X number of orders per day. It seems like they have someone processing payments, once the funds clear they put the order in to the warehouse to pull it, once it's packed up they print the shipping label. With most systems you don't get a tracking number until the label is printed. So the way Powder Valley does things you won't get a tracking number until the day (maybe the day before) your package ships. As close as they are to me the tracking numbers don't generally activate until the package is a couple hours away.

So basically, once your payment shows up on your card or bank account, it'll probably be a day or two until you get a tracking number. Within a couple hours of getting the tracking number you should be able to check the status.
