So I recently purchased a Kahr CW .40S&W to basically keep in my car, but after going to the range with it and playing around with it at home, I've decided that I wouldn't mind carrying one of these for my CCL.
Here's the problem. I grew up on .45ACP and I absolutely love the caliber and I would prefer to carry it over the .40S&W due to its more manageable recoil which leads to my better accuracy, which should be a priority for CC. I am 5'10 and I weigh 170 lbs, I don't have a big waste so carrying IWB is a problem for with the clothes that I wear, hence why I like the idea of the small Kahr for CC.
So I can get the P45 for right at $500, then I can turn around and put NS on it for probably another $100, making it an easily concealable weapon on my small frame with a pocket holster all the while being in my preferred caliber and with night sights.
The CW40, which I love and purchased for a hair under $400, is basically the same size as the P45 in all dimensions and is a great purchase at that price. However, it can never have night sights put on it due to the pinned front sight (lacks the dove tail needed for NS) and it's a caliber that's much hotter and less accurate for me.
So do I keep the CW40 and use it as my concealed (even though it doesn't have NS and sacrifices accuracy) and save the $200 i'll have to spend on the P45 not to mention the hit i'll take on selling the CW40, or do I go the P45 route and have the caliber I like and NS for that extra security???
Just would like to see what others would do in this situation!
