No, if you want to duplicate the .357 Magnum with an autoloader, you need a 10mm Auto. A 10mm Auto with a 135 gr JHP @ ~1600 fps is an impressive number, though I actually prefer the 180 gr JHP @ ~1250 to 1300 fps. There are plenty of 10mm Auto loads with velocities in the 1300 to 1600 fps range and energies in the 550 to 750 foot pounds range that are every bit as impressive as anything to ever stoke a .357 Magnum, but the .40 Short and Weak need not apply.
