Never shot a 220, but wouldn't hesitate to pick one up My Ruger P345, was a laser beam, and I still miss that gun everytime I take my 45s to the range!
Although I have nothing to compare it to other than my SA1911 Loaded and a Kahr CW45, the 220 is a very accurate piece.....mine hits where it's aimed, but sometimes not where I want to punch a hole. But my steady hand ain't what it used to be !
the most accurate that i have seen, shot and or owned, is the ruger p345. as a matter of fact it was the most accurate handgun i have ever shot. i owned it for a while, but it had maor reliability issues. they were fixed by ruger, but i still couldn't trust the gun after that.
Experts say there is no GOD, man is the cause of global warming, personal ownership of firearms causes crime, and disciplining your kids is child abuse. Thank God I'm not an expert.
Jon, although it's totally off the original subject, I couldn't agree more!!
I've been considering a new 45 ACP and strongly considering the Sig P220 for awhile and after reading all the post it appears the Sig p220 is a keeper.
I just bought mine last weekend. If you can find one assembled from German parts like mine you won't be disappointed. If has the internal extractor and the stamped steel slide. The rest of the new ones have an external extractor and a milled stainless steel slide. I like the feel and balance of the stamped steel much better. Mine came with night sights and three magazines for $799.00. Not a steal but I'm very happy with it.
I emailed Sig a note a couple of years ago asking date of manufacture for my SN. They responded within 24 hours....was shipped from Germany November 1995. If I had to get rid of all my pistols except one, it would be a tough choice between the P220 and my SA1911Loaded.
