For me its a close tie between my Sig P220ST and my DW CBOB. Both pistols are my pride and joy at the range and really do put a smile on my face while shooting them.

RIA. No show, all go.

Not the most expensive or fancy but these two, Rock Island Armory 1911 and the Ruger P97 are good solid pistols. Both work, and work well for me. The P97 is my every day carry gun but the RI gets a bit of holster time also.:)

My Kimber Ultra Carry, although I'd like to have a full-size Kimber one of the days. (That's a hint to my husband, if he's reading.... :D )

Easy, my S&W 1911 5" Bbl. Stainless Steel with a WIlson Combat extended slide release & Les Baer SS Flat Serrated MSH - I've had more
than a couple of people ask if it's a model/make that is twice the
price if they haven't flanced at the slide after firing it down range.

Seven© -- Of what material are those white grips on the RIA? That's a very nice looking gun. If I get a 1911 (when! WHEN I get a 1911!), I'm thinking about a stainless gun with nice white grips -- a gun that says "Good guy" from the get go.

Colt series 80 stainless Commander, I bought it for $600 at a gun show. I have several guns that cost a lot more than it, but that gun is a favorite. It has little scratches, even an idiot scratch, it's been dropped on the pavement, but there is just something right about that one.

My favorite .45 was my first shooting instructor's Colt Gold Cup. Smooth as silk, accurate, felt perfect in the hand, wonderful Colt blue on steel, and no extra geegaws. Seems like perfection.

I'm quite happy W/ my RIA. Read the question wrong ,my bad, I thought you wanted 1911s if its any .45 I really want a CZ 97B

I'm don't have a pic, but the one .45 that always leaves me grinning is the cheapest one I've ever bought - a Tanfoglio (EAA Witness) that weighs a ton, has a grip diameter that requires huge hands and puts every round exactly where I point it.
I hate to carry the thing because it is like 46 ounces loaded, but every time I empty a mag I've got a smile on my face.
I'd like to do that just one time with my Sig.
