Whats Your Holy Grail

I would some day like to have a fitted .470 Nitro Express double rifle. Been drooling for one for years, but can't part with that much cash. :(

It would give me an excuse to go back to Africa on for another safari. ;)

Holy Grail?? hmmm mine are much simpler than others :D

4in Colt Python (before Colt forgot how to blue a revolver)

Smith model 27 registered

G41 or G42 whichever w/glass (WWII semi-auto sniper rifle)

A full house custom rifle or carbine

A full house custom Gov't model

Mauser 96(?) Broomhandle (shootergrade)

Luger 9mm (shooter grade)

Colt 1917 .45 acp revolver in 80+% condition

Remington Double Barrell shotty with cobalt blue steel and a hair trigger :neener:

Original (WWII) Mauser sniper rifle w/glass in 90% condition

m3 grease gun

Original First Issue Colt AR-15 SP1 just like in the book The Black Rifle II. I'll probably never see another one. Some poor soul lost this one in a pawn in CA.

I would have to say a M2 or "Ma Duce" if you prefer. It would have to be a straight military issue and retain it's full auto, for this is the one weapon that commands respect unlike any other, and my all time favorite to fire.

Also one of my other personal favs that I carried while serving a M249 S.A.W. I always liked the fact that if you are all out of belt ammo you could always grab some mags off a less than "lively" buddy to finish the job.

A fixed-stock MP5. Nothing fancy, just that.

A Micro Uzi. Select-fire, with folding stock and nylon strap so I can hold onto the darn thing.

An M40A1.

A fully stocked machine shop right next to Black Snowman's. :D

A CMP M14.

A CMP M1 Garand.

A SHRUBBERY! :)

Ok, seriously:

S&W Model 27 with 5" barrel (or better yet, a pre-Model 27).

Pre-Model 17 K-22.

Pre-Model 14 K-38.

TVM .54 flintlock left handed Lancaster-style long rifle with a really nice curly maple stock.

Colt Combat Commander in .38 Super.

Here are a coupla those Dave ...........

If you happen to have a spare X-Frame Smith in .460 - do drop me a line! LOL :D

Crewchief, I was waiting for someone else to come up with this one, since I've wanted one for years. Plus a ring mount to go on my 5 ton 6x6, of course.

Given the price of a full auto ma deuce, I'd even settle for one of the semi-auto models for the time being.

Another Colt Police Positive Mk V. If only I'd have known that they would only manufacture them for a year I'd have bought two. :(

Haven't seen another one since - not at the range, the gun shops, online, etc. Nowhere.

Ed Brown Cobra Carry in 10mm

HK MP5-10

S&W .38/44 LNIB with matching box

Colt series 70 Gov't Model in .38 Super

Bushmaster in .308

S/A M1A Scout Squad

M1 Garand that is documented to have been used in a major battle....I would give it to my grandfather

Pre '64 Winchester in .270

Wild West Gun's Co-Pilot in .45-70

hkmp5sd,

The pictured rifle is not an "original first issue" that is a later production SP1. The OFI are limited to the first run of approx 2,000 rifles that were sold to keep Colt going until they could nail down the gov contracts. These OFI rifles have very rare features including M-16 bolt carriers with no forward assist marks, hard chrome bolts, no trap door single screw butt plate, etc..

I actually already a OFI SP1l. I recon wild was looking for the grails we don't own, in which case that would be a 2 or 3 digit Garand. I know of 2 three digit garands and one is for sale.

well i have a couple peoples holy grail. a sniper 91/30. not an originial i bought the mount and scope on ebay but they are ww2 original so its all russian parts.

other than that a fg42 ww2 would be nice, or doc holidays orginial sawwed of 10 gauge. and maybe a USAS12

Original .44 Automag or a .475 Wildey.

just need to stick a crowbar in my wallet.

I do have a couple of my holy grails.
