The only revolvers they list on their recently updated website are SAA's. I am sure there are new Pythons to be found in gun stores but I do not think they are being manufactured at this time. What is the source of your info?

I just read somewhere, that they aren't in production right now. It is due to new machinery being installed.

It's that type of behavior by Colt that frustrates me. This month they're making Pythons but the next three months that end with Y there will be no Pythons made. I'm exaggerating, but you understand. Nevertheless if Colt has decided that military contracts are where the money is then what can I do?? I just hope they understand that wars do eventually end. Many of Colts competitors didn't understand that during the Civil War and most of them didn't last ten years after Appomattox.

Some moves do seem obvious. Based on a lot that I've read and heard, if they decided to put the Detective Special back into production, they wouldn't be able to keep up with demand. (Put me down for two!)

However, if they already have that level of demand with their current product offering, why add another product (of any design) to the list?

Colt's 2005 catalog and price sheet, obtained at the recent SHOT Show, only has various versions of the 1911 pistol and custom-shop Single Action's. All of the double-action revolvers have been discontinued.
