Just what it says. Backordered, backordered, etc. These two guns have been my white whale for the previous two weeks.

We are in the same boat! I am on the waiting list for the SR1911 and on a search for the Sub2000. Patience I suppose.

on a search for the Sub2000

CDNN has them listed it the catalog I got a couple of days ago. Give them a call. The many variations in magazines doesn't help in finding the one you want. I seen a lot of 9mm S&W mag models and Glock .40 models at local shows. I'd buy the 9mm Glock model if the price was right.

The gunstores near me can't keep the Ruger in stock. They are selling them at premium money....No thanks...I'll pick one up next year when the novelty has worn off.

What area...?

In regards to the Sub2000, I know of a place near me that constantly orders them and tries it's best to keep at least one in stock.. (I don't own one, but have a brother and a good friend that both own one in .40 S&W, both bought from said store..)

Completely zoned out on the area lol... sorry. Place I was thinking of is Northern PA, though.

Everybody else wants the Ruger too, so it's hard to get.

Apparently Keltec can't get enough electrical power for full production, so perhaps the RFB, KSG, and PMR30 take priority over the Sub 2000.

Area I live in is St Louis Mo. Gunshops can order the Kel Tec I want (G17 mag compatible model...) but cant guarantee delivery anytime soon, as in by like XMAS!!! As for the SR1911, they cant keep them in stock, dont know where to find it, and when in the foreseeable future the gun will be available. :(

bought my Kel Tec about 4 months ago gun shop had just got it in that day, they told buy it now, because if you don't we will sell it in 30 minutes & if you want to wait for a 9 mm. we have no idea when it will come in. So i bought the 40 cal its fun to shoot man I love it

keltecs are made in "batches"...with limited production and a couple of new guns, subbies are probably low on the priority list...if you find some thing close to want you want, buy it...gary

In the 4 years I've owned a subbie I've never seen a time where they were easily available. I'll see one in a store and come back next week and it would be gone.

You folks buying that Ruger 1911 so very early in it's production life are in for some serious buyers remorse once the recalls are issued, and from the early reports there are very definitely problems with that pistol. Also, I'm fairly certain that Ruger has purposefully under produced them so as to create exactly the feeding frenzy that has gripped it's fan base!

They know just what they are doing, they'll use their fanboys as R&D as they always have, then their subserviant & stupid gun media will rave on and on about how the SR1911 is the best 1911 ever and then the recalls will be sprung as the tales of woe mount and mount....Then the fanboys will sing the same old Ruger song that they always sing when they get some crummy pistol that is defective, they'll pipe in with how cheerfully awesome Ruger's CS is as they ship their legions of SR1911's back to Prescott for repair....

I had a hard time finding a SUB2000 that takes Beretta 92 mags. I looked and looked, and put email alerts on a couple of pages, and then suddenly there were several on gunbroker, and I grabbed one for $300. A few days later, all the stores where I had set up email alerts started sending me notices they had them in stock, for a lot more money than I paid for mine.

Yeah. You tell them! Them newfangled technology adopters. with all their like ... New stuff.

On a more related note, though, I feel ya. Around here finding any of the new and shiny stuff is a pain as well. Just a few weeks ago was the first time any of my LGS had even the LC9 in stock.

Ruger has history of announcing a product before they are able to produce enough to fill the demand.

I'm not a 1911 fan. Despite that, I'm intrigued by Ruger's offering. I'll wait until the feeding frenzy and the potential recalls are finished before getting on a waiting list.

As for the Kel-tec, the Glock model has been on my radar for quite a while and I've yet to even see one.

I have a sub 2000 on order. I spoke with Kel Tec a few weeks ago and they had a few machines down. They just got them back running so new Sub 2000's should be hitting the shelves soon. You can find them on Gunbroker fairly readily-- however after shipping and transfer you are looking at ~$400. My LGS will have it out the door for me for about $320. I can wait.

I'd like to find an SR 1911 in person.... I'm hunting a 1911 these days.

I got my Kel tec sub 2k a few months ago, from LGS, same story, they sell like hotcakes. Right now I'm on three wait lists with onlne stores for the Ruger. So far, the range reports I've read sound good for the SR1911. It does sound like Ruger is doing this on purpose, milking the demand for all its worth.

Virtually non-sensical...
