X-Rap made the suggestion in the Roller Coaster thread that he would list roller coasters on the list of 10 places he wouldn't want to carry, and that it would be an interesting thread asking where those places are.
Places where it is illegal to carry, or where carry is "prohibited" and enforced through tresspassing laws are not in the scope of this list. So planes, federal property, that stupid bank or theatre, etc.
Here's mine:
1) Swimming. No place for a holster in my swim gear, and its not good for the gun. Also included here is hot tub, shower, etc.
2) Martial Arts training. Not so much worried about the gun getting dislodged and causing a ND here, but rather about having the holster pounded into my hip.
3) Trampoline. I'm great at doing flips. I don't think my gun is, especially in a kydex rig. If I had a retention holster, I'd consider it.
4) Vibration Exercise equipment. I am fine doing weights, biking, or cardio machines with my carry rig on, but I do not trust that the vibrations from this particular type of equipment would not cause an AD.
5) Bed. Not that I would have a holster on, but I just don't trust my sleepy self to not grasp that thing and accidentally cause it to go off. I am not a gun-under-the-pillow type of person.
That's all I got, so I'm half-way to a top ten list. What's on your list?
