Which .22 ammo is best between these two?

Neither is better if your .22 doesn't like it. It may or may not cycle the action of a semi. Or may just not shoot well out of your firearms. .22's are just like that.

This is true, but generally I have had no problems with cycling the action of a semi auto with high speed ammo. Jams are another issue entirely. The shooting well is sort of relative. Most people who shoot 22's don't expect promotional grade 22LR to shoot half inch groups at 50 yds. But 3/4" groups is not out of the question. Pretty much tin can or squirrel accurate.

Depends on your gun. Federal Lightning is one .22LR that will not cycle in my old Model 75 Glenfield semi-auto. Never used M22 but Wichester wildcats do just fine.

Never had a beef with M22... like it for plinking. Not sure what federal lightning is, but if its like Fed Spitfire, and I HAD to pick, I would pick federal spitfire.

As others have said, keep it all. Have heard of quite a few bad ideas... but selling 22 rimfire for a holster is right up there near the top.

The federal 510b that walmart sells (sold) comes in 50 rd. boxes with dividers separating each round. It has lead (not copper washed) bullets with a very nice lube on them. it isn't bulk ammo, although it sold for slightly less than the 550 pk of plated federal bulk bullets. The last I bought cost $14.70 for 500 rds. The 510b is a very good high velocity (1240 fps) round. Every .22 I have shoots it very well. I would buy it over the Winchester, but Winchester ammo has been good for me also, though not my preferred. I wouldn't sell or trade any .22 ammo I had, because it would be expensive to replace. Like everyone else says here, keep the ammo and do what else is needed to get holster money.

I like 510B too. Prior to Sandy Hook, my standard WM visit included picking up about 500 rounds (10 50-ct boxes) of Federal Lightnings (occasionally 20 boxes) and that happened about once a week. Things are different now and I doubt I'll ever see it at WM again in 50 ct boxes. I don't know if there is any difference between the Federal 525/550 round bulk packs and the 510B. But I'd buy the 50 ct boxes every time if I had a choice.

As most said, keep all of your 22 ammo. Don't sell it. You don't know what tomorrow brings. Anything is better than nothing.
