In anticipation of finally getting my SP-01 in the near future, I need to get some mags to feed it with in addition to the 2 - 18 rounders it comes with. There are a ton of different CZ-75 mags. CDNN, Sportsmansguide, etc. all have different capacities from 15-17 and 30 round mags. Who makes reliable mags for the CZ-75? Also, where can I buy some of the good looking rubber mag baseplates that I see on many CZ's and Witnesses? The 17 rounders from Sportmansguide look decent for $24.99

Are the 30 round mags from Sportsmansguide even reliable enough for casual plinking? For $19.99, they might be worth getting just for the novelty. If they end up not working I could always try to make a super hi-cap Kadet .22lr mag out of them. I might buy 1 - 30 rounder but I mainly want to find some good 16-17 round CZ-75 mags. Thanks.

I only have Mec-Gar and CZ mags. some folks might think that Mec-Gar
supplies mags to CZ. Actually , if I could tell the difference I'd not be able to see the difference in quality or performance. Mec-Gar also supplies SIG and Beretta/browning with magazines.

Since the BAN lifted I sold out of my stock of 15 rounders and only have the CZ-USA 10-rd mags left.

Any other mags are probably USA or other brands with questionable
feed issues. They are not worth the headache involved IMHO.

I have two of the factory 25 round mags and have checked out some aftermarket 30(25?) round mags, I could tell by just picking them up that there was no comparison in the quality.

The factory mags were far better but they are very difficult to find.

For 20 bucks it wouldn't hurt to try one but I wouldn't expect too much.

You asked this same question on the CZ Forum. I answered there, but will answer again.

First, in response to another's commetns: Mec-Gar DOES (now) supply factory mags for CZ.

But a Mec-Gar supplied "factory" mag isn't necessarily the same mag as a Mec-Gar "brand" CZ mag. Specs are apparently subtly different.

The Mec-Gar CZ mags won't work in old pre-B CZ-75s, but factory mags will; subtly different dimensions.

If you're gong to buy mags for a 75B, buy Mec-Gar or, preferably, CZ factory mags.

Other mags will work, but the likelihood of problems is greater. (I've got a bunch of CZ and a big bunch of various other mags, and most will work, but some take tweaking. New springs, enlarged mag top of release notches if the mags were originally made for a CZ "Clone", etc.)

As for the 30 round mag? Don't waste your money. Either buy a factory CZ 25 rounder, or do without. You won't waste money, that way.

call CZ-USA..should be able to get the factory 16 round mags..
or Arizona gunnerrunners..they have the MecGar 15 round mags..

haven't tried any of the others..but these are no more than $18 each..and run great in my SP01 and CZ75B

stay away from the sportsmansguide generic mags... I got burned on two of them... they are junk...

most of the time I can't fire more than 4 times in a row with these mags...
