Oh c'mon...you gotta have Corbon up there. It's definetly better than the Winnie Ranger and Remi Golden Sabers. I LOVE the Pow'R Ball ammo by Corbon, great load. I also do like Remi Express JHP for bulk hollows.

#1 buck also:) But in 45acp which is generally my main auto pistol defense round, I prefer to use 230 gr hydra shok.

For duty use in my sig 220st, it is
federal tactical 185 grain +p hydro shock

In my glock 27 I use department issue winchester ranger

WWB JHPs in my CZ SP-01 and in my 1911s. (I'm still a student! But the stuff has never given me problems and I shoot it quite well)

However, I picked up a few boxes of 230gr Golden Sabers at a really nice price at a gunshow recently, so if function testing goes well then I'll keep the 1911s loaded with those. :)

Yeah ... I would have to agree that you need cor-bon up there. I don't use it, but cor-bon 125-grain .357Sig actually pushes the bullet the same as a .357 Magnum. I actually do use cor-bon in my back-up Air-Lite in .38+P.

Anyway, I use 230-grain and 125-grain Speer Gold Dots (.45ACP & .357Sig)

115gr HP WWB's personal defence in 9mm Lugar,
110 gr HP Winchester Silvertips in old Model 38 S&W .38 Special
200 gr Hornady HP in .45 ACP but, I'll be looking for a new load as those run out.
#3 Buckshot in 20 Gauge.
Remington Slug in 20 Gauge.

Who prefers less penetration than the Police.

I have some of each type of ammo listed and in addition some Mag Tech Guardian +P, PMC Starfire, Federal EMFJ and Police 9mm loads, Winchester SXT and Super X. It all works well and IMHO there isn't a nickles worth of difference in performance between any of the good quality HP's.

Since I'm still carrying my P97DC and the local gun shops in my area basically suck for ammo selection, I've made the plunge into Plain Jane Remington UMC 230-grain JHPs from Wally World. I figure that guaranteed expansion with high-speed/low-drag ammo is nice but a .45 hole in the front is still a .45 hole in the body and that's enough for me. Yay if I get more but I'm not too concerned about it. Also, it's nice to only drop 29.67+tax for 100 rounds of SD ammo that feeds and fires just fine for my pistol.
