I have a Remington 700 MLS that has been an excellent gun over the years. However, I am looking to upgrade to one of the newer guns with the easy to remove and clean breech-pug. I am consider several different ones, including the Traditions Vortek, T/C Omega, and T/C Bonecollecter/Triumph. What are your thoughts on these muzzleloaders?

I'm rather fond of the T/C Hawken, Renegade and such for front stuffers. The "modern" stuff doesn't really do it for me. I love my Remington 700s that use cartridges though. So... I can't really offer you anything you'd like to hear.

The only experience I have with an In-line is one by KNIGHT- T-Bolt. Light weight, very accurate, has the 209 primer adapter. When using the 777 pellets and a sabot with 45cal round recoil is there not enough to speak about. In 4 shots I placed three inside a smaller space. The only reason I have it was a friend of mine that owns a Pawn Shop offered it at cheaper than dirt price. I would recommend it for hunting and if you were closer to me I would sell this one to you so cheap you would think I was giving it to you. Stick with the Side locks or Flinters.

If you want a rifle in the class as youre remington I would go with one of the TCs. Handle them and see which one you like best. If you want the most bang for your buck the Traditions are good rifles. Check the trigger on the Traditions before buying, they tend not to be in the same class as the TC.
