Nothing in NC is major :p, but every city here allows CCW as required by state law. Our largest is Charlotte with population ~600k I believe (26th largest in US)

The ones located in states which allow "average" citizens the right to bear arms.

Michigan has a preemption law, where cities can't make laws more restrictive than state law. So Detroit, and every other city in Michigan.

Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburg, Philly, Dallas, Memphis, Nashville, Indianapolis, Miami, Tampa, Charlotte, Phoenix, Seattle, Portland, and probably many others.

Population of 100,000.

I live in Ventura Calif. about 45 minutes north of L.A. I have one, though I'm not sure one would call Ventura a "major" city...

I'd say almost all of them that are in states that allow concealed carry. In Ohio, where I am, you can carry in every locale, other than restricted sites (bars, court, etc.). So that means Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Toledo, etc.

Seattle!

You go to your local PD.
You give them your fingerprints.
You pays your money.
You go home.
30 days later they mail it to you.
You put it in your wallet and start carrying.

As others have said it goes by state not city. NV has shall issue so Reno and Vegas are both good.
Not necessarily.

It goes by state IF the state is shall-issue, and IF the state has a preemption law. Rhode Island, for example, is not shall-issue. Most of the smaller towns will issue, but you can't CCW in Providence even with a permit valid elsewhere in the state. I've heard the same is true about Portland, ME.

Quote-"It goes by state IF the state is shall-issue, and IF the state has a preemption law." which ,in essense IIRC,says the individual cities and counties are governed by state law and federal law and cannot make further restrictions.
Like Gem says:www.packing.org - check the states individually cause there are differences.

I travel some in the spring and summer for business and to the best of my knowledge from what I have discerned from each website of the states I travel,Florida,Georgia,Alabama,Tennessee, Kentucky, and Indiana, all recognize my Florida CWP and all have the preemption law .

The heck of it all is once I missed my turn in Indiana and crossed the bridge into Illinois and instantly became illegal.

Pa

Vitamin G said " PA is strange...

Philadelphia, the foundation of freedom, has become so bastardized that its the MOST restricted city in Pennsylvania...

Pittsburgh...
Sherriff's office, $19, 2 references, 20 minutes, CCW on the way out

Philadelphia is shall issue and has been since the State Supreme Court ruled that the city cannot pre-empt state law. Go to Spring Garden Street, fill out the form, pay your $19 and CCW is yours within the 45 day period required by law.

Twenty years in CA

Three years in IL

You know what they say...

"I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could..."

You can get one in New York, but I read a quote on a websight that I still like to the day.

"In order to get a CCW in New York, god himself must come from the heavens and lay it at your feet"

Anywhere in CT - Hartford, Bridgeport and New Haven are the biggest things we got. All good places to CCW.

We just lost a husband AND wife jewelry store team to a BG in Fairfield. He (the shooter) WAS from NY though. I Don't think we got him yet either.
