My brother-in-law works to get rid of 3 handguns, I'd like to get one of them but can't decide on which one.
1) blued 4" model 58 cylinders are recessed and it has a bo-mar sight on it. Is this sight drilled and tapped??
2) 625-7 45 colt
3) 657-4 6" 41 Mag
All looks to be in great shape and I've tried to talk him into not selling them. Told him, they not make them anymore. I really don't need them but I hate to see them go.
So which would you choose and why?
I know the answer would be all of them!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks

Do you want to use any of them for anythig? Hunting? Plinking? Safe Queen?

I am with ljnowell on the liking the older one. But the 657-4 would make a slightly better hunting tool. IMHO

I am not a huge fan of the .41 so i would pick up a the 45. And i think you can find cheaper factory ammo for the 45 to plink around with.

Does he have the same price on all of them? From what i have seen the 41 mag's don't have quite the demand the the 45 has right now. If you were to ever sell it.

He hasn't set a price on them. He wants me to sell them for him. So first I've got to figure out an asking price. These were my Father-in-Law's guns and they were divided up 3 ways and he got those. He doesn't have anyone to leave them to so he trying to thin them down.
I don't need any of them either, don't really have anyone to leave them to. I guess I'm looking for a safe queen.

What's behind Door No. 2 or Door No. 3. Would go with the Model 58 but don't want it with the BoMar rib on it.

Franklin, I have been in your shoes. I helped liquidate a close friends collection that he inherited from his FIL. I wanted some of the collection but didn't want to cheat anyone. There were several firearms involved so i paid for the blue book of gun values online, gun broker, and compared there value to three or four of the LGS value they would give. I ended up buying some of them because they were worth more than what i could get locally according to blue book. There were some that i wanted but the LGS offered more than what i had them valued at. One was a 686 that was sweet but the LGS offered more than what i was willing to pay for it( he had someone who wanted it and had is sold before he bought it) . I guess what i am getting at is if they are all equal to you then see what you can get for them and buy the lest expensive. I found the cheapest price and then added 10 percent if wanted to purchase it. I helped the family make about three times what a liquidator offered.
