Which power optic should i use

I just bought a sig 716 and I was wondering which power optic I should use for 100 to 800 yards I am going with a nightforce optic I have a red dot set at the 1:00 o clock position for up close. Any info would be appreciated

If it were my gun, I'd want a 4-16 or somewhere in that range.
