I've got a small project that will require painting a Kimber Montana stock and a VX-III 3.5-10x40 scope. Who are the reputable coating companies out there (for camo colors) on these kinds of gun parts?

Thanks!
Rich

There is a guy who's name is Tuck that hangs out of the rimfirecentral forum and he paints some of the nicest stocks I have ever seen. A real artists now and he isn't very expensive.

Also, you can send your gun to Gander Mountain and they can dip it in any camo pattern you want.

yeah would be good for kids or anyone who likes to have painted rifle stocks. Painted stocks are pretty popular in the bechrest scene.

Nope Tuck doesn't have a website as far as I know but you should be able to reach him by searching for him at www.rimfirecentral.com

Lauer Custom Weaponry does just about every kind of finish you could want. I've seen their work, and it's excellent.

The Gander Mountain in Kenosha, WI does all of the finishes for all of the Gander Mountain stores, and I'm told the work is also top-notch.

Joe Larson at LTM Refinishing does great work - especially if you are going for a "tactical" look. Here's his web page:

He just did an AICS 1.5 for me, should have it back this week....
