Why did The Getaway feature a High Standard 18-7?

Anyone actually know why The Getaway featured a High Standard K1200 18-7 Riot?

My speculation is that they wanted an 18 inch barrel with an extended magazine and this was one of the only choices (another was the 69 RXL).
