I only have one rifle in this caliber and I never do anything more serious than plink with it. I bought the gun last year so I immediately picked up dies and started buying brass. Before I knew it, 600 rounds on the shelf. I doubt that I need more than 40 for as much as I use this gun. I always do this. I go overboard all the time.

Jeez. I also have 600 rounds of 30-40 Krag.

It's a sickness...

I bought my 30-30 used in '88. I shot 2 deer, 2 hogs, and some paper with it, and I'm on my second box of shells.

'Course, I have thousands in 7.62x39, .22lr, .45acp, etc.....nothing wrong with lots of ammo! I just shoot my other guns way more than the 30-30.

I have two .30-30s and I know I don't have anymore than 30 rounds on hand. I think it is closer to 15 to 20 rounds. I probably do need at least a 100. Heck I have a full box of 50 .357 Sig and .357 Sig dies and I don't even own one!

Sounds to me like your 400 rounds short ;)

I thought you were only supposed to have ammo in 1,000 round quanities? :D

Why not go out and shoot a bunch of it? I really enjoy shooting my Marlin 336, and the only reason I don't shoot it a lot more often is the cost of the ammo.

What do you call 600 round of ammo?

(Inserting a punchline from an old lawyer joke)

A good start.

:)

600 rounds????
I still have a partial box I got WITH my marlin 30-30 for xmas of 1980.

I don't shoot it much. :what:
