Why hasn't FN made a full auto version of the Five-Seven?

Of any pistol, it would seem that this one is most suited to it, much more so than the Beretta 93R, Glock 18, and CZ 75 FA, given its low impulse round and high capacity. A 30 rd magazine wouldn't even stick out that much - add a VFG and you're good to go. What does THR think?

They already have the P90 submachinegun. Most full autos would be sold to law enforcement or military which really would rather have a full size weapon than a hard to control full auto pistol.

I too think a full auto pistol would be hard to control, I have a FiveseveN pistol and don't think I would want it either, even if it had a select fire button. I think a better option would be a select fire for a 3 round burst, so if you wanted to shoot 3 at a time or a single round just by pushing a button. Again, most likely this would be available to LEO or military personal only. LM.

Regardless of any technical reasons why it shouldn't be or hasn't been made, there's one good reason why they won't make it: they have the P90, which uses the same round, and has a very good market. They wouldn't want to potentially eat into that.

As far as technically, I can't see a a FiveSeven with a giggle switch offering anything over a P90. You'd still need the buttstock and a foregrip, and then you're looking at something a bit more unwieldly and not all that functional than the actual pistol, and nowhere near as good as the bullpup.
