I have never once considered a certain firearm for it’s resale value. I only think of performance & value based on my dollar for dollar spent. Big reason every firearm I now own, was built by my own hands. I don’t intend on ever selling any of them.
I spent time in my younger life buying & selling guns. Went through quite a few, sure. But then I matured as my knowledge of firearms increased. For one, I came to accept that I am NOT a collector. I’m quite simple really. I know what calibers & cartridges I want & need. And I feel no to reason to deviate. I don’t fall in with the new “Flavor of the Month” cartridge that is so popular with fan boys these days. Same as through the years really. My choices are based on research. Research of what is best for me. These are my own opinions...as always, your results may vary.
I have a Rem .223 -700 SPS with a factory 1:12 and quite frankly I wish it had more twist- It shoots light bullets really well but on long dog towns in the wind I wish it shot heavier bullets better-
I agree, you are correct. Everyone is going to the longer heaver bullets I guess. And if the fast twist works for them and the short light bullets too I guess why not.
