I learned a trick with my mosin. The bolt will lets say twitch right before firing. I use it to my at vantage with trigger control. I can see it with per-feral vision.

It's got a thumb hole, but not the full pistol grip and it's a beautiful wood. It took me a wile of watching gun broker to find the one I wanted

I don't think the thumbhole is legal here in NY on a semiauto.

In the socialist republic of ny, not much is legal, but when I was searching for mine I did see parts listed for them as well. There might be something out there that's legal. Check the laws too, most places thumb holes are legal, just not a pistol grip that's not connected to the stock completely.

Though, now that you mention it, I don't see how it would be any different than a thordsen stock on an AR.

Most states even very strict ones do allow a thumb hole stock as long as it is fully connected and does not have a separate pistol grip. I would definitely check into it and find your dream gun!
