Hi,
At one point I disassembled my whole Winchester 1300 (Defender) and did well in putting it back together. Well, last night I took the bolt out (no big deal) and found how to put apart the bolt. Well, I simply cannot remember how the springs went. It seems the thick spring holds the ejector in place, but how would you compress that spring and then put this one cylinder in to keep the spring there and then put the firing pin in with it's smaller spring?

Geez, what a brain!

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

1300 Bolt Assy

Put the extractor into the extractor cut in the bolt. Put the bolt face down on a block with the right side -extractor cut- on the right, overhanging the edge of the block. Insert the extractor spring into the bolt from the rear and drop in the the firing pin collar on top of the spring. Make sure the collar lies flat on the top of the spring. Slide the bolt slide onto the bolt, small end up, so that the bottom of the bolt slide is lined up with the cross cut on the back of the bolt. Align the cam slot and cam pin hole by lifting the bolt slide slightly and start the end of the cam pin nearest the fp hole into the bolt. use a small tool, push the fp collar down into the bolt and push the cam pin in as far as it will go. Put the fp spring onto the fp and insert the fp and spring into the bolt from the rear. Push in the fp and drop the slide arm bridge to hold it in place.
If you want a copy of the Win 1300 instructions, pvt message me your postal address and I'll send you one. Good luck-this one ain't that easy!
