Winchester 94 sights are way off

My winchester 94 rear sight is set to shoot as low as possible and is still shooting 6 inches high at just 50 yards. How can I correct this without taking it to the GS for a new rear sight? Im looking at the front sight and wondering if theres a way to adjust it.:banghead:

Try a different sight picture or consider a HIGHER front sight,

Sounds like you're putting your front sight where you want your point of impact to be. On guns like that, the bullseye should be like a pumpkin sitting on a fence post.

are you shooting hornady or some special round?

I sent out my dad's 94 to be refinished, and it came back with the same problem. Is this possible? I don't know if the D___A__ gunsmith mixed his parts with another gun or what......
