XD mag Question

This is more curiosity than anything else, but my mags seem to have a pattern just above the hole for the lock, I don't really see anything in the mag well that would leave that mark. In this pic there are a few parallel lines about half way between the top lip on the lock hole. Anyway...just curious if anyone else has seen this or if anyone else has seen this on their's.

Yep, have seen them on several of my mags. I have seven or eight 9mm magazines and I have seen these marks as well. I figured the same thing, tool marks.
 
I had not noticed that b4 I saw those pics. So I pulled my mag to check. Yea I have the same marks, just not as bad b/c my XD has only been fired a few times.
I went ahead and took the slide off. Then put the mag back in it, to see whats against the mag when its locked in. In the parts books its called the Locking Block. The top back edge of it has a lil "cup" that lines up with the feed ramp on the barrel. The flat block part below the lil cup, I can see the same marks there. It feels smooth to the touch, but I guess under recoil, it moves and rubs against the mag. I also have a deeper vertical scratch on the mag which looks like the edge of the locking block would have made.

Saw a little bit of it on one of my magazines. Also saw how the magazine will come into contact with the back of the loading block in the normal jostle of components. Doesn't look like anything to worry about, IMHO.
