Hey all, I have a glock 21SF but its just a little too wide for me. Is the Springfield grip any smaller in width or front to back? if anyone can post a pic of them side by side I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

The XDM has three interchangeable backstraps. Great gun. If you try the XDM make sure you try all the grip options if you can.

My brother has the XDM in 45 ACP and the grip feels fine. Not slim like a 1911 but slim enough that you can forget that it is a 45 double stack pistol. The back straps which are interchangeable makes it possible to get the feel you would enjoy the most.

Thanks guys, Yea the 21SF is just a hair too big for me to wrap my fingers around, I was hoping the XD had even a little smaller grip. Ill have to go try one out tomorrow.

I've never handled a G21 but I do own a 1st Gen G17 and 1st Gen XD45 Service. I have to admit that the XD has a more natural feel and they don't bite like Glocks tend to do (granted I will never get rid of my G17).

Don't forget the S&W M&P. It has 3 interchangeable backstraps and can even be fired with none in place.

This may not help...but I have an XDm in 40 and a Glock 19. The XDm is new to me and less than 200 rounds down the pipe, so I'm still getting accustomed to it. But FWIW, I prefer the ergonomics of the glock. The xdm does "feel" narrower and smaller all around, I can more easily wrap my hand around it...but I still prefer the glock's grip.
