This is a band from Berlin. And this is "heavy metal" so be warned. (it's also a little jazzy) I don't know if it's considered about guns...well just listen...if it's your thing.
Citizen Soldier - 3 Doors Down
"the strongest among you may not wear a crown"
I think the folks here at THR get that message, unfortunately there's too many "(Politician) Do No Harm" folks running around this country right now that don't.
Santeria by Sublime.
It sounds like a love song, his voice is so sweet. But then when you listen to the words, you realize it’s more of a break-up song.
Thanks for that. I love Jimi's newer styled music but he was definitely showing his old soul/back home blues roots in this tune. I hadn't heard it before and love it!
Kodiak,
I can't help but to add, 32-20 Blues was actually written and performed by Skip James first ( though it was titled 22-20 Blues). RJs version was good, but Skip's was better (as Skip James is the superior Delta Blues man ). I have to say the original is my all time favorite gun song. You'd be hard pressed to find better a musical genre as raw and perfect as Delta Blues.
easyg,
Good shot on Guns of Brixton. It's definitely one of my favorites too. I grew up on that song/band. It has a very special place in my music loving heart.
Eddie Money "Gimme Some Water"
Can't remember the singers name but the song was "I Fought the Law"
Stevie Ray Vaughn "Boot Hill" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ph2wtjwXZY8
(Noboby plays slide like Stevie any more. May he rest in peace)
