Before I begin , let me say that there may not be any bigger fan of Glock than I am . I have a Glock 17 Gen 4 just because I wanted to try it out and have the 4th generation to go with my Glock 17 Gen 2 and Glock 17 Gen 3 .
Just a few weeks after I bought the Glock 17 Gen 4 , I heard of the Canik TP9 SF . The SF model is a new one that does not have the top side decocker . Pretty much the new SF model is a Glock 17 in size and all. It is made in Turkey and is well built . There are several reviews done on it and one done by a very well known guy that lives 50 miles from me. He loves it . And he is a Die-Hard Glock 19 man .
I like the G17 Gen 4 but I hate that it is different than the Gen 1 , 2, and 3 . I guess I bought it on a "whim" to have it to go with my Gen 2 and 3.
I want to get the Canik TP9 SF but the only thing holding me back is the lack of spare parts . I am sure they can be found through Century Arms but it's nicer to be able to get them as easily as the 1911 and Glock parts.
Bottom line is that I am on the fence about selling my Glock 17 Gen 4 to get the Canik TP9 SF . What do you guys think ?
