Very cool! How long does it take to set up a trap?
I have had my traps all shut down since the start of deer season....and the hogs have virtually disappeared anyway due to the over abundance of acorns everywhere in our woods. I went out this morning and saw rooting around the area of one trap that was maybe 20 yds across, so I reset that trap and dumped a bunch of corn in front of and inside of the trap. I'm hoping for some action in the morning. Darned if I don't have more fun as a whole with hogs than I do with the deer.
Boy can I agree with you on that one! These woods are just too dense to get out and find the deer or the hogs. I guess we just have to wait for some rains and sunshine to rot those darned acorns away before we get back to the stuff we love to do. I had a small bunch of hogs and a few really nice bucks come by in the middle of last night, but the hogs didn't bother to get in the trap. I spread more corn this morning to see if I can get some to visit the trap tonight. Not enough room to go find 'em and I've never had a lot of luck doing that in dense woods, anyway.
