The SKS just may be the funnest gun in the West!!! Blowing up rocks at 50 yards with a new gun buddy is a blast!!!
Just thought you needed to know that!

The SKS rifles were just plain fun.The little rifles and the ammo was cheap. My friends all had an SKS. It reminded me of being a kid with a Red Ryder BB gun. We did not shoot groups or argue SKS ballistics. However Jack Rabbits, beer cans and many rocks were smoked. I would like to do that again.
Nope, we'll be shooting our CA compliant "featureless" rifles with detachable magazines or drop-in fixed magazines - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...iant-featureless-builds.815461/#post-10461765Will the fixed-magazine, standard-configuration SKS rifle become the future 'AR' for California?
I had Russian SKS, Chinese NHM-91, Bulgarian SLR-95, Russian Saiga .223/.308, Mini 30 and shot many AKs. While SKS shot well, NHM-91 (20" barrel) had the lightest recoil and best accuracy of all the AKs. I regret selling the NHM-91 and wish I still had it.All the above postings are especially good to know, since I have never crossed over into AK territory, though often tempted. Think I'll just stay with my SKS.
