I live in a rural area where skunks and raccoons are running rampant, usually at night. I did some digging through my old gun parts and decided on building a dedicated. 22lr Ar pistol. I purchased a cheap 10.5 inch upper from Daytona tactical a couple years ago in 5.56 and for a while had it set up for that caliber, but I really didn't trust it for any "serious" use.
I'm not 100% finished with it yet, I plan on adding a truglo gas block height front sight, and an offset light mount, I removed my phase 5 battery assist for a gun more deserving of it, the CMMG echo .22 conversion doesn't use a bolt catch anyway, instead the magazine holds the bolt open on the last round. It is actually pretty accurate, and besides being a fun plinker it really makes short work of varmints, and it does it pretty quietly.

Anyone have experience with the CMMG echo, and what subsonic ammo feeds well?

Also, anyone with a .22 ar15 conversion, post some pics and any good data.

It's a little bit "bubba". What do you think?

We shot the Gemtech ammo out of an suppressed MP 12-22 and a 10.5 suppressed upper with the CMMG conversion suppressed. They were giggle quiet and worked every time. My friend, who knows more about his kind of thing than I do, specifically wanted the Gemtech ammo because it's designed to be shot in suppressed AR 22s. I think it was $67 for 500 at the LGS. Gemtech lists retail as $6.99 per 50
