From now on, when given the option, I'm going for FDE on all my long guns. I spent a year in Florida, and at the range, in the sun, that black gun gets HOT after a while. Handguns it doesn't bother me cause they are usually concealed, but for something I might be carrying in the sun, I'm going with tan/FDE all the way.
Maybe Milwaukee Tools could license you the Lightning Bolt and Fuel Motif. I would love a red and white Milwaukee M-four. It would match my drill set, and be the envy of everyone with a Bosch or DeWalt AR.
It really is a pet peeve of mine where companies cannot get the same colour Ceracote/Duracoat on components (yes, I'm looking at you SCAR!)
My H&R built issue M16A1 has the same look. I loved that rifle. Until I fired an A2....(though the 3 rd. burst sucks.)I've always gone for the classic gray-ish/black-ish anodize (with undertones of gold and silver) that GM's Hydramatic Division applied to the M-16s they build for the Army.
Built this one for the wife.
Looks like Unique-ARsAnd a job well done too! I like green.
Very nice Forearm. May I inquire what brand it is?
We knew you had a soft side.Black of course.
Well, except maybe for this one.

A work in progress, going to be a gift for my youngest. Still have to pick up the pink mags, a case and a few other oddments.
Also wouldn't mind one for myself in burnt bronze..........
