I've got all three. My only polymer gun is my LCP. I've got a couple aluminum framed guns, but those are for conceal carry as well

All of my home defense and "fun" guns are all made out of steel.

Like many here I have all three: steel, aluminum and polymer (or plastic if you prefer). Most of of my 1911s, such as my Colt Government, Combat Commander, and Officers Model ACP, are steel as are many of my revolvers: S&W Model 686, Model 649, Ruger Vaquero, and a Beretta Stampede. In aluminum I have a Colt Lightweight Government, Colt Commander, SIG P238, CZ P01, Walther P1, and a S&W Model 638. Have a couple of full size polymer frame autos like a Glock 17 and a Steyr M9 but like it best in smaller, more compact autos for it's lighter weight, like my Ruger SR9c, Kahr CM9, and KelTec P3AT.

My own proprietary composite of apple pie, kevlar, denim from Daisy's original dukes, and scripture from the Gutenberg bible.

STEEL N' WALNUT.

Don't need no plastic fantastic tupperware Mattel garbage and don't need no aluminum neither, only good for wrapping pies. :)

Kidding, I own all 3.

Polymer and aluminum allow me to sleep at night. While blued, browned or color case hardened steel; wood, ivory and stag haunt my dreams. :)

I see a few who are itemizing their handguns. We're not forgetting rifles and shotguns, are we? AR-types include a lot of polymer, and wood wasn't even included as an option.

I own polymer, alloy, & steel. I like the steel handguns best. I seem to wind up carrying the polymer the most.

I also have blued steel & wood stocked long guns for the most part. Most of my stocks are birch though as I was always interested in the most bang for my buck. If I were younger I would probably own more plastic stocks. As it is my only plastic rifle stock is on the AR

Two plastic guns, both XDm's. Everything else is steel with a couple of aluminum framed 1911's.

I have all 3, plus whatever alloy SIG uses on their P series.

Mostly steel and plastic (1911s, revolvers and Glocks) with the couple-a Sigs and my one aluminum ultra carry.

I don't judge a gun on its materials, I love all the types!

All my pistols and my Crickett are plastic fantastic, but my H&R Topper is good ol' wood and steel. They all work well enough for me, no matter the material.

Arrrgh. I was going to add wood, but I don't have a wood framed gun.

AHA!!!!

A niche gun industry is launched, reportedly as a response to a forum post about wood framed guns...

Okay, a little out there. But I wanna try! I actually think it could be done with a good hard wood with a single shot .22 build. Otherwise... I might need to do wood instead of plastic on otherwise already perfected ideas with "modular trigger packs".

Why not? If Remington could make the Nylon 66 run halfway decently......:)

Somebody tell me what kind of wood to use, because the only wood I know anything about is walnut, oak, and the junk they make 2x4s from. And I don't think oak would be perfect.

Somebody send me a piece too, and I'll try!

One plastic, three aluminum. The rest are steel. All have their pros and cons.
