In light of the various recent incidences of ND's and the discussion it has generated, how do you carry for EDC. Multiple choices are welcome as there are different circumstances ... Summer, Winter, etc.

Darn it, I forgot pocket carry ... DOH! Can't edit poll options :( I guess that will be the majority of the 'Other' option.

Other may also include shoulder harness carry or placing a pistol somewhere in a vehicle. But that could also be off-body carry?

Depends on what I am carrying. 80% of the time its an LC9s in a desantis pocket holster. The other 20% of is either IWB or OWB strong side, behind hip bone with a 1911, revolver, or lc9s. I don't carry everyday, about a couple times a week since I work remotely.

Summer - LCR in pocket holster in cargo shorts pocket.

Winter - Glock 26 (changing over from G43) OWB at around 2:30 or 3:00

Other - P3AT in pocket holster in breast pocket of large denim or flannel shirt

Usually SOB/IWB, which I don't care for. The price of living in what is pretty much the tropics, most of the year shorts/t shirt is what we wear.

Let me amplify my poll answer by saying I carry strong side IWB at about the 4 o'clock position IN A PROPER HOLSTER.

A proper holster must (among other things) retain the weapon, protect the trigger and safety, and not move around (which encourages people to constantly "adjust").

NDs are called NDs because they are very rarely ever accidental discharges.

Carry your weapon in a proper holster.

Keep your weapon in the holster unless you MUST remove it.

Lots of other things can be said about NDs and their prevention, but since this is about holsters I'll limit this posting to that.

Holster your weapon and quit messing with it.

My belt pouch that gets the most use. I have a few others; but they don't get as much use.

Primary is carried in an IWB holster worn between the belt and pants, a technique known as inside-the-belt (ITB) carry. Because it is worn outside the waistband of the pants, I selected an OWB choice (at hip bone.)

I also checked "other" to describe my second gun's carry method, which is strong-side, front pocket.

All of my carry guns have a trigger that, when pulled, draws a hammer rearward and then releases it. I did recently purchase a handgun for eventual carry that does the same thing with a striker. I do not carry single-action guns, nor any with "Glock-type" triggers. The possibility of unintended discharge has played a part in that, as well as the fact that I am trained far more in "heavy-trigger" handguns than in any other type. Holster selection is also made with that in mind.

90% of the time my LCP is in my right front pocket in a holster. 10% CM9 or XDS 45 apendix IWB strong side.

I could only hit "other" once, but I sometimes carry in a shoulder holster on the bike, occasionally in a pocket (yard and house) and have (rarely) carried on the ankle, mostly at weddings.

If it’s tshirt weather and I’m in town among other people I go aiwb. If it’s cooler weather and I have to wear a coat i move to about 3/4 o’clock, sometimes iwb or owb, depending on the pistol I select.

Strong side right behind the hip bone. OWB preferred, but IWB if I need just a bit more concealment. Same gun (actually one of three but they're identical for all practical purposes) the same place all the time.

1911 strong side IWB about 3:00 with forward cant, plus a Glock 43 in weak hand front pocket.
Been carrying that combo for awhile.
