I always strong side pocket carry either a NAA 22wmr Pug or a Diamondback DB9. This has become my most used method. It's just so much easier. When I get off work I can slip my Desantis (Nemisis i think) and DB9 in my pocket as soon as I get in my car while seated or if I'm at home and need to make a quick trip to the store. Just grab and go.

When I'm off work I go with either IWB or OWB behind the hip strong side. Sometimes a Glock 43 in a Crossbread Supertuck or a Glock 29 in a Galco OWB slide holster. For the G43 i have a 1791 brand 4 in 1 holster that i wear IWB and OWB and i love that holster. Sometimes i carry a CZ 75b in a kydex OWB. (can't remember the brand)

I swap up my style of carry to how I'm dressed or time constraints or even mood.

How I carry depends on how I am dressed what I am doing. For OWB If I am in a situation where I am going somewhere that I can not carry I have a couple of Safariland paddle holsters I use. It is easy to remove my pistol & stow it in the locked vehicle until I return. I also have a belt slide holsters I use if it is not necessary to remove my pistol. If I am more concerned about concealment I may move IWB. It is not my preference but I do have a Kahr CM9 that I pocket carry on occasion when I can not conceal anything larger. It is probably the easiest to conceal but I carry it least because it is easier for me to shoot larger pistols well.

I appreciate how a 1911 places safeties somewhere other than on the trigger. Helps with NDs.

I carry the 1911 year round, all seasons, in an IWB holder with a reinforced opening. It rides somewhere around 3:30. I use my offside hand to hold the cover garment above the holster, with my trigger finger inclined far away from the side of the holster when inserting the gun. No NDs so far.

I’ve tried other stuff but was never comfortable so now only carry a CCO-size 1911. I put the holster on (Kydex/leather hybrid IWB) and then holster the pistol. I use a thumb/index finger pinch on either side that ensures the thumb safety is up and I’m not touching the grip safety. After fully seated I recheck the thumb safety.

When removing at night it’s pretty much the same hold in reverse. Very similar to drawing but more shallow grip & higher up.

The only thing I’d change is wishing a hybrid existed that used thicker Kydex. Plenty with thicker leather but that’s not what wears out. Reheating the Kydex every so often to reform is a needless PITA.

When I'm out and about I've got an SP101 AIWB.

The other times I'm pocket carrying either a NAA .22 at home or a j-frame for those quick runs to the corner store.

Other vote: Strong side pocket carry of a lightweight J-frame, in a pocket holster.

For something larger, IWB holster at (well, fractionally behind) the hip bone.

Other-other: Have occasionally used a shoulder holster.

Glock 27 placed OWB strong side, right at 3 o'clock, in an Alien Gear Cloak holster. Same in all weather and conditions. Shirts are untucked and a little loose. I have the option to do this because I have lax work attire guidelines. I use the paddle and this model holster comes off (rotating motion) and on easily with the pistol installed. This is important to me as I often visit locations that I can't CC in.

I've practiced with the holster at about 1:30, I think people call this appendix carry, and find it very fast to draw, but not practical for me sitting/driving.

I also wear a Bigfoot gun belt, I can't recommend them enough.

IWB at 2, 2:30 so technically AIWB but in reality closer to 3 oclock as forward cant and my preference for at least a 4" barrel points the bang end past my hip.

Darn it, I forgot pocket carry ... DOH! Can't edit poll options :( I guess that will be the majority of the 'Other' option.
Yep. That’s me. Pocket carry.

It is just so darn easy in dress slacks which are my work pants. A couple of single stack 9mm’s & .380’s.
One at a time, of course! :)

I have used my IWB Crossbreed Supertuck a lot over the last ten or so years. But I recently got a Blade Tech OWB that is so much more comfortable, I find myself loading up on baggy t-shirts to be able to use it most of the time.

I just spend a few days in the Black Hills, and I used a fanny pack. I don't mind looking like a tourist when I am in fact a tourist. And it's a lot easier to have my wallet in the front pocket than to sit on it all the way through Wyoming.

I also still use my Galco Miami Classic from time to time, but it's a bit of a niche. It's for when I can wear a concealment garment that is heavy enough to not blow open, but it's not so cold that I HAVE to zip it shut. Also good for road trips.

I use an Army M-7 chest holster when I am out on my ATV.
