All we had left by the time we got to those targets today were .22s, but that would have been a good idea! The escort carrier is GAMBIER BAY (CVE-73). I like that idea, use .22s for shells, .45s for torpedoes.
If anyone cares, I scored 3 direct "bomb" hits on Yamato amidships, while my buddy got one good one on Gambier Bay below the waterline.
Exeter lost her seaplane and rudder, as well as taking a bad hit below the belt. I only managed to put one through Graff Spee's mast.
Washington and Kirishima scared each other, but no direct hits.
I knocked out Bismarck's A turret, but my buddy scored 3 good ones on Hood's machinery and magazines.....
At 25yds, these make quite challenging targets!
