But why do they have to cost so darn much? What happened to the handirifles and their supposed economy?
i was looking at them have you used one.I heard they discontinued the HandiRifle line. The price increases happen every time.
Have you seen Tipman Armory's .357 rolling block? IIRC, the MSRP's about $anarmandaleg.

there a place me and my friend buy from, they have a bunch of the remington 1867 rolling block rifles. there complete rifles some are welded barrels and missing parts. my buddy got one this week for $180 in 8x58r welded it's in nice shape tho. he is cleaning out the chamber now.No, because of the price tag. If it weren't for that... they look pretty nice.
Scouts available in .357 and .44 I think. Hate those forends tho.Did they make the CVA Hunter rifle in .357 Mag? I have one in .44 Magnum and it's a tack driver.
I touched off a round of 3" buck from one those Midlands in 12ga. That was a little much in a 4.5lb shotgun (or something like that). Should be a slick little singleshot in something not brutal like that.i am not old but remember when they were cheap. the company midland, maes nice little single shot shotguns. there like 100 buck, last year they said they were coming out with rifle barrels this year but have not seen them yet. the henry looks pretty good but not cheap. these single shots should never cost more then a bolt action rifle.
If they do turn out some .357s I may send you my barrel to ream out. I'd much prefer a Max to the regular .357....tho I guess I'd actually probably go .44 since I've got my .44 rugers.ya if they can make a sub $200 rifle in 357/44 or others they will sell good. my dad has a 357 max reamer to.
ya no problem. i need to check my dads and are friend brendon reamers and make a list. he just used his 8mm/348AI reamer today on a rolling block. so some odd ball stuff to.If they do turn out some .357s I may send you my barrel to ream out. ya my dad used to ream out the siamese mausers in that 8/348ai, kicked the snot out of me lol. shot good thoThat does sound like some eclectic stuff lol. 8-348 would be a neat single shot round too.
If they could swap barrels I'd already own one. Almost bought the 44, but I really want a few of them and handi rifles are still a bit cheaper.. The world keeps turning and stuff keeps getting more expensive.... Dang, I sound like an old guy!Henry is a little more than I want to pay for a single shot but they do look real nice. If the barrels were interchangeable and reasonably priced I'd take the plunge.
+1 for me too.ya no problem. i need to check my dads and are friend brendon reamers and make a list. he just used his 8mm/348AI reamer today on a rolling block. so some odd ball stuff to.
