This lube/sizer is probably older than I, but not much. I finally broke down and made a hi-tech heater for it.

a piece of 1/4" aluminum, and a 30 year old iron (that we still use...).

I drilled the holes, and mounted it under there. I turn the iron on the lowest setting for about 30 minutes, then get after it. After about 30 minutes, I turn it back on for another 10 minutes or so.

Not a new idea, I know, but it still works.
 
Works perfect and that Lee 312-185 bullet is a good one out of my Mosins and Enfield.
 
Great Idea for any Luber-Sizer without built in element. Those are great lube sizers. Personally, Lyman let go of some features about how the sizing die is situated that I miss when using the 450 and 4500. I use SPG so no heat is necessary. Piece that puts pressure on the lube directly in the 450 fits in the 45. I use my Lyman 45 for the buffalo guns.

Addendum: Got hacked by former computer company. You can see the number on your top punch and shell holder. Don't need to take the thing apart.

On my 450, I use a light bulb in clamp fixture with reflector. Takes about 5-10min to heat up, provides light too.

Not needed this time of year. It’s about 90deg on my basement garage! Have to open doors and turn on a fan!
