I had a extra ruger #1 stock set from a older project that didn,t work out, so i decided to put the #1 wood on my #3 and turn it in to a #2. I didn,t take the barrel band sling stud off yet as I want to see how it shoots with the new stock set, it shot three shot one inch groups with the original stock set. the only work needed was a little wood removed from the forend barrel channel. it feels good, but did add a little weight that will help with recoil with heavy loads. what do you think, should I put the old stock set back on it or keep the new wood on it if it still shoots
