Hiya Guy's . No I know I've had my fair share of 303 Brits' & I wound up making a mistake of selling or trading them all off for other things, and after princess bozo appeared & the milsurp market dried up and most things got real scarce for a while, I figured I wouldn't have another chance to pick up another really nice one again. Then after I picked up my 7.62 nato Ishapore Enfield I figured if I do I do, if I don't I don't. Well, I just happened to be out running around getting errands and things done when I ran into one of my friends that I do a lot of business with so I stopped to grab a cup of coffee and visit for a while before I was on my way & heading towards home before it dropped below freezing again. Shortly after I got home I was in the kitchen making a pot of my Hi Octane leaded Coffee when I heard something scratching at the door. Naturally I thought it was Scraggles my spoiled rotten furball , as I let her outside when I get home. I walked over and opened the door to let her in only to find this SMLE shivering from the cold looking for a home, so naturally I reached down and picked it up and brought it in, then grabbed my grog & sat down to get a better look at jt ...
As luck would have it and surprisingly it turned out to be a really nice unmolested 104 yr old #'s matching 1915 MKlll SMLE in .303 Brit' . One of the first things that comes to mind is I don't have reloading dies or brass for it so that goes right to the top of my bucket list, then I think to myself, this thing is in really nice shape for its age . Everything is tight, the bolt is slick and smooth, the chamber looks really good & although the bore looks a lil' dark it looks promising and should clean up nicely once I take care of the cobwebs and chase the dust bunnies away. Needless to say I'm glad it kicked my door to scratch on and it'll be a nice addition to my collection and go nicely with my Ishapore ...
