My most used knife was the Kershaw leeks, I always liked them. The gun shop my dad worked had a cool Kershaw display, with the speedsafe name on top. i like d the look of the rainbow leeks in the case. My dad's boss would give me one every once in awhile for helping out. I'm not a big knife guy cut think there one of the best for the money.

the other knife I used a lot was the crkt m16, I just like the knife they fit my hand very well, there were also a knife that was in a display case , in the back of the Kershaw case. Another knife I think is good for the price.

I like old folders like case of schrade, but I cheeky nails and can't open them lol. Used fix blade knifes to but I don't like wearing belts much, always had a schrade around tho.

like to see what you had and used when you were younger,

The Normarks were lighter, that's why I liked them. Sort of the Gerber LST of it's day.
I had a few of the buck knifes with the plastic handles, I for get what model similar to the 110. Don't think I have any left tho, I have a bad habit of dropping knifes and then breaking.

I have had a knife on or near me 95% of the time since I was around 7 years old. Growing up it was a simple folding pocket knife, no locking. My first SAK I got around 16ish and I still have it. Gerber Multi tools came next with CRKT/Kerahaws as my first “tactical” folders.

My very first knife was a Swiss Army Knife. I still remember opening it on Christmas Eve. 7 or 8 years old. Probably took me a month or two to lose it.

Funny thing is I bought my 8 year old at the time the same exact knife. Showed him how to use it properly. Came with a little case for his belt. He lost it in the hay field about the same time I did mine.

My remember my 1st knife was a Barlow. I thought the company who made the knife was named "Barlow". I was probably 7 or 8 years old.
Through grade school, high school and college I probably carried a Case medium trapper or small stockman.
Once I stopped wearing blue jeans to work, it was a Gerber LST or Paul knife that didn't wear out my doubleknit pants so bad.

A sharpfinger I found on the side of the road. I was about 8 when I found it, laying on the side of the road near my grandpas house. I rode my bike from his place to the church and it looked like maybe it got slung off or out when somebody turned around. No, it didn’t have any blood on it.

And a 110 that was my other grandpas. I ate untold bushels of apples and pears off the blade of that 110.

My dad had a zippo but he lost it and try as I might I still can’t find an exact replacement.

Started at about 8 with a cheap Imperial jack knife, then progressed through a few Schrade old timer and Uncle Henry stockman models, a Case peanut, a small Buck lancer, and eventually a basic SAK tinker.

Way back in the middle of the last century if a boy didn't have a three blade Schrade by the time he was 12 something was wrong.

My grandpa bought me my very first knife a Barlow . I also bought a sharp finger years later when I saw that he one and I carried a Buck 110 a lot .

I was all growed up and married by the time Kershaw started production in 1974. I think my first knife was a small Imperial two blade. Then carried a Mercator K55 in my back pocket starting when I was about 12, an inexpensive Solingen German lock back knife, modified to open with a snap of the wrist.

I do carry a Kershaw Leek now, flat in your pocket like that old K55. I just looked, and amazingly, they still make the K55, except now it's $30 not $3. https://www.knifecenter.com/item/K5...lack-cat-knife-german-carbon-steel-army-issue

Swiss Army Camper was a constant woods companion of mine since about age 10.

That and a Kershaw Black Gulch II. Can’t believe I remember the name. It was a much smoother version of a Buck 110 but definitely less quality and elegance.

Both of these are still around 25 years later. The Camper is in my utility drawer in the kitchen and still sees plenty of use. The Black Gulch is with my dad on his dresser. Been there for the better part of the last 15 years I would guess.
